Question about refugium light timing and cope pods

Unfortunately, i cant take the sponge because i use it to block pieces of chaeto from getting into the return section.

My sump is kinda small so i cant really move the chaeto either. Maybe ill try to run a small tube down the end side of the sponge so some pods can swin thru....ideally Hopeully chaeto won't get through either.

Oh I see now.

Maybe a piece of egg near the overflow to your return pump.
Or a piece of egg crate warped in some mesh.

That's the best I can come up with at the moment.
