All in the space of 12 hours I went from not being able to go then being able to go to again not being able to go

Where I work vacation is based on first come first serve and limited to a maximum of three people off per crew at a time (24 hr operation) found out that someone cancelled their holidays for that time slot and a put in for the vacation and all looked good 5 hours later was told that I couldn’t have it as I was beat out by someone else who put their time in a day earlier

Sounds similar to my line of work... May-September is considered the red zone where if you didn’t have annual vacation you can’t take that time off. We are allowed 2 off at a time...that’s iT...that’s all. No negotiations
