So a reason why, besides the insane colors, that a piece like Mykas can and should go for a premium is because it is a well known coral by a breeder or propagator that has already created some awareness in the hobby. Like name brand corals. Once established, you'll see a lot of other breeders/propagators put similar looking corals out there and pass them off as the real thing. It's easy to convince someone that something looks a little off because of the lighting or water parameters...especially if the price is right. |
