Yup Alan. I'm going to take it to the Sony store, but I kinda have my doubts.

Christy it helped a bit when they said I couldn't take the box on as carry on.

However, they sent it through as special handling so it didn't come down the conveyor or anything. Didn't cost anything to do that so for next time that is the only way to go.

Especially after watching the guy punch my other carryon pack a few times, give it a good shake, and throw it upside down for a second run through the scanner. Poor little Apu had quite the ride I'm sure.
