![]() although ALL crabs are omnivores and thus, liable at some point or another to eat something you might not want it to (this is more than likely due to a lack of it's main/primary food source).
However, the crab you have there is primarily an algae eater. This is evident by the spoon-shaped tips of its pincers. Crabs with pointed pincers are much more liable to predate and should be removed immediately at all costs. These are the ones that kill your snails and damage your corals. The crab the OP posted is NOT one of them. The crab you have would be a perfect candidate for the sump....do not throw away. z
