 I used to feed the flake downstairs too, but, it got to be too much trouble to cart the little container up and down the stairs every day. (Yeah, yeah, I know what you're gonna say. But there's just so many of them!) So I use the freezedried and the frozen downstairs the flakes upstairs. Only thing is I've noticed that it seems to absorb humidity really well, so you have to be very diligent about keeping the cap tightly on when not in use.
