RSM 250 Upgrades

Note to admins - not sure if this is the best place for this post?

I want to do some tank upgrades to my RSM 250, but not necessarily DIY? or is it?

#1 - I want to add some rock rubble to the back for more bio filtration. Should I use the media rack? or can I place a bag in the rear right chamber? I'm not sure if that power head is strong enough to keep the flow well through rock so I might need to upgrade. Is there something better than rock that I could use? Right now I'm using the stock items and chemi-pure.

#2 - I want to add an ATO. Is there an easy, dummy proof way about doing this? When it involves plumbing of any sort I scare myself into thinking I'm going to somehow burn the house down.
