safe to say dave wrote most of the songs with hettfield and burton in fact all the first album and most of ride the lightning.

megadeth had no choice but to try and go mainstream , remember the late 80's and early 90's?? brutal for metal with all that grunge etc. lol

hettfield , great guitarist and musician , in fact ive seen them in concert over a dozen times and met kirk(wasnt great either lol) and i give full credit to james , hes whats kept metallica going year after year to influence every great metal muscian today
