In response to the cites question You don't need a cites permit to bring zoas across the border. Just did it this last week. Informed border guard I had aquatic animals for my aquarium called zoanthids. Had an email from the aquatic Animal Health Veterinarian stating: "Hello Dave, thanks for your enquiry, CFIA currently does not require Aquatic Animals import Permit for Cnidaria to which Sea Anemones (zoanthids) belong."
