![]() Good Day:
I have two reef nano tanks: 28 Gallon JBJ & 8 Gallon Nuvo. I have been thinking of getting a larger tank to setup as a reef aquarium. I like the look of the Elos 160 XL (202 Gallons) but I haven't seen one up close. I like the clean look of the tank and simple overflow (uncluttered but I am not sure how effective this setup would be), rimless/braceless, low iron glass and perceived high build quality. I like the open top look but have concerns over high evaporation rate, lighting bleeding into the room and having fish jumping out. 1. I was wondering if anyone has first hand experience with these tank. 2. In western Canada (I am in Victoria) who builds aquarium like these? 3. I had one clown jump out of the aquarium when I removed my lid off the Nuvo 8 gallon. How do people deal with this with an open tank? 4. The tank comes with a 5 year warranty when purchased with an ELOS stand. Do any other manufacturers offer a similar warranty? 5. For large tanks what would be the best size to keep the purchase price, operating cost and equipment cost down? Best bang for buck? Thanks, Michael ![]() ![]() |
