Few of them were in the top 50 ... only a 1000A$ to join and there are almost 50 of them ! ... a good alliance to back you up will go a long way ... there is a staggered start time setup similar to what we are thinking ... I am leaning that way
  There is no " feeding " the top guy and they will come to the rescue if you are in need most of the strategy I used in Beta 5 I got from the Nemo's at RC
