I can't answer your skimmer question because I don't have that skimmer. But you can download a user manual for BH2000 here: http://coralvue.com/wp-content/uploads/downloads/2011/05/BH2000_UsersGuide.pdf. I know yours is a BH1000 but they should be similar.
I am very concerned about the anemone. Not only it's gaping, it is also bleached. There is no such thing as a "white" anemone. Sounds like you mail ordered it without seeing it first. I would call the store and ask for a refund to sell you a bleached anemone without telling you. A bleached anemone sometime can recover but it needs some experience and dedication.
