Default T8 Fixtures

Hubby salvaged a couple of 36" dual-lamp T8 fixtures from a construction site. I've done some browsing, and Zoo Med still makes some T8 bulbs that are available online in Canada, and maybe even locally from one of the bigger stores.

Should the Zoo Med T8s work in regular T8 fixtures?

I'm looking at the:

Reef Sun (http://www.zoomed.com/db/products/En...D=2&SearchID=3)

Coral Sun (http://www.zoomed.com/db/products/En...I7czoxOiIwIjt9)

Ocean Sun (http://www.zoomed.com/db/products/En...I7czoxOiIwIjt9)

If they'll work, what should I choose for moderate lighting over a 40B? Just softies and LPS right now. I'm going to be moving more into LPS, and have a bunch more coming. SPS are probably still a few months off.

The T8 bulbs would be temporary over the 40B we're working on. I'll be picking up a different fixture (T5) this weekend, but that one will be modded before being used, and the mods could take a while.

Hubby will affix the fixtures to a piece of plywood and we'll hang it from the ceiling for the time being: probably 12" or so above the tank.
