Around here, $3/lb and up is standard from fellow reefers and way more in the LFS.

I thought Edmonton sw stuff was more expensive than in Vancouver/Burnaby.

Edmonton is more expensive, but every now and then you can find a deal.

FYI I've found those deals before ($2/lb) but the 3 times in the past 4 years when I saw those deals, I asked why so cheep? and it was because the rock was covered in either aptasia or majano's or hair algae.
