![]() After spending a couple days in Jakarta, Patrick and I headed out into the Abyss in search of some stellar cultured SPS. View in the direction of where we were going View behind us On their last trip to Indo Patrick and Shaun were debating is “Poraci Sweat” was supposed to mean sweet or sweat. Either way as far as we can tell it’s similar to gatorade…. Kind of…. And tasty. We stopped briefly and switched boats and continue further out. One of the Indonesia members of our crew Finally we arrived at our paradise of snorkeling, SPS collecting and for the next week. Of course we couldn’t wait to get into the ocean quickly before the sun went down. Sunset the first evening Some very damaging starfish who are known to eat “algae, tissue off corals, crabs” almost anything. I would quote the page in Julian Sprungs book on inverts for the scientific name as we brought a copy but just gave it to the livestock manager on this island. Some interesting small coral structures just outside of our rooms Patrick almost tripped over this Moray Eel living inside this concrete pipe. Then went back to take some more photos ![]() |
