Default What materials are inert in saltwater

I'd like to know what is inert when submerged in saltwater--what won't hurt the water quality.

I understand PVC is okay, and (orange) clay pots. What about other types of fired clay? Driftwood?

I'm asking because I want to know about other possible decorations. I know this is heresy, so don't everybody go berserk.
