I guess it will all depend who you work for, in most cases, the employee will be entitled to the day. I have found many employers don't recognize many days that should be recognized. A very good example is one employer I had would not give Rememberance Day... Now that being said, I was entitled, and finally proved it to them. Nope, a couple of pages back there I mentioned that they wouldn't be coming until next Monday. Got lost in the holiday shuffle, I guess!
