I got rid of the sand because I was tired of not being able to clean the glass all the way down to the bottom. Also I wanted more flow and I didnt like the way the sand kept getting blown around, and now the detritus is so easy to remove.
The 72 bow only has 11 inches on the sides, 18 inches in the middle, making it a little tough to aquascape. Doesnt matter though, its all coming down in the next few weeks anyways.
