Another ID thread. Am I in trouble???

Ok. For the longest time I thought these were diatoms, but now I think I am dead wrong.

What can only be described as reaching plague proportions, these little brown things hang out on the glass, sand, rock, pretty much whatever that doesnt move.

Size is about 1/16 of an inch wide and 1/8 long. they move about on the glass fairly slowly, and imo I think they are some kind of worm.

I tried to take pics but its fairly difficult. What u can see here is only the tip of the iceberg, there are many many more.[IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][/IMG][/IMG][/IMG]If any more pics are required just holla.

Please help to Identify these "things" so I can fight the good fight.
