Whats the best way to completely ensure I rid the rock of all the slime and hair algae before it goes into the tank?
I'd give it a good scrub with a brush or something, make sure you get anything that dried on it, off. After that, have a couple buckets with some water in it so you can swish off the rock to get any "hangers on" off, then another rinse in another bucket and I would imagine after that you're good to go.
