Computer gurus, help with email?

OK, I have my email accts set up to be checked with Windows mail, and all works great at home, and everywhere basically. But, I get into this new camp here, Albian Village, and I can't check email via Windows mail. Keeps coming up with a error

The connection to the server has failed. Subject 'test', Account: 'dan @ banditpowdercoat', Server: 'smtp.banditpowdercoat.com', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

It's a LAN connection, seems really fast, and I have not seen any web restrictions. I can check it by logging into the site manually, but that's a PITA. Anyone have any idea's? People I ask around here, no one has a clue. I havn't found any IT guys
