This is likely not the case with you but it can happen. The very best setup for these pellets that I have seen is actually the Vertex Reactor for the simple reason that it has 1/2" inlet and outlet size, this all but eliminates hose clogging issues. Anoxic conditions can be prevented by simply aiming the return of the reactor to the inlet of the skimmer, the aeration of the skimmer returns the oxygen levels within the water to normal levels.
