Anemones are tricky like that. they will usually wander around until they find a place that is the most suitable for them. sometimes you luck out and its in the open. Mine was always at the back of the tank pretty much out of sight.

As for getting the clowns to host. you could always find a picture of a clown in an anemone and tape it to the side of the tank for a while. Maybe they will get the hint.
