![]() The time has come, it has been a few years, but circumstances in my life over the next few years will prohibit me from having a reef tank. (Don't worry, my vendor account will remain for at least another 8 months, I may never stop it, as I would like to have another tank in the future.)
$2499 is the price! It would cost you a minimum of $4500 (and at least $6000 if you had someone make it for you) to build this tank and stand. Specifics: -84 inches x 26 inches x 26 inches (7'2" x 2'2" x 2'2") -starphire glass -2 cross braces and euro bracing -schedule 80 bulkheads (these are stinken STRONG! no need to worry about a CL leaking) Tank has holes in the overflow and back, and can be plumbed to suit almost anyone's needs. (bulkheads alone are worth $350) -massive built-in electrical control center, w/ two GFI breakers. Designed to run twin circuits for redundancy. (at least $300 worth in stand) Stand is made of 1.5 inch wood (not MDF) plywood. It is strong enough to support 4 or 5 times the weight easily. Cabinet and hood doors, and trim are made of 100% Maple. It is charcoal stained, and the normal ones the KitchenCraft makes (shaker style) for easy replacement, if needed. (any KitchenCraft dealer can get the exact doors and trim in) Tank is located in Winnipeg, but it could possibly be moved via a shipping company for (just guessing here) $450. On with the pics: And in all its former glory: Electrical (part of it): For more details look at this thread: http://www.canreef.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=26595
