The only thing about the Euro Reef is that it will stick out of the top. You will see the collection cup. I have a feeling its a better skimmer than the Tunze just based on design alone but I want to keep this thing really clean looking and free of equipment showing.
I wasn't even going to bother with a Vortech but only bought one because its less equipment in the tank. So to add a skimmer that sticks out of the back kind of defeats the purpose. I think the Tunze it is. I can get it locally for under $200 and it fits right in the back, collection cup and all.
