![]() I wouldn't skip any days of feeding for most fish other than large predators. We really, really underfeed our fish. Most reef fish eat all day long.
If you check out wild fish on dives (tangs, rabbits, butterflies, ect.) they are much, much thicker than the average fish you see in an aquarium. Personally I was feeding my copperband 3 times a day, everday, before he passed away. I feed my tangs about 4 times a day but I am starting to feed about 6 times a day now. Variety is good too. My copperband LOVED chopped up prawns. Has to be chopped quite small or bended. He also picked from whole clams and mussels. I throw a manila clam in the tank each day too. I don't feed mysis at all anymore as I find its more expensive than buying fresh seafood and there is just too much phosphates in it. I have also heard it really doesn't have much nutritional value. Someone compared it to feeding lettuce to tangs. I guess it depends on the brand though. Last edited by GreenSpottedPuffer; 04-02-2009 at 04:34 AM. |
