Operation xenia removal was implemented, and executed to the extreme. There isnt a squiff of visible xenia left in the tank. I tried to be as careful as possible to not let bits of it float of into the tank but some of the xenia had grown onto the glass. Will have to wait and see if it springs up again somewhere in the near future ..... I wont wait to remove it if it does. Thanks to ElGuappo for lending me the extra hand I needed to remove a rock that was a foundation type rock that was supporting a whack of others. I cant believe how much better I feel about how the tank looks without that big chunk of xenia infested rock that was in the left front corner of the tank. I have some shuffling to do now as Im not sure what to put where. Im not happy with where one or two of the new clams are. Catherine (one of the resident clam gurus) and Kevin are going to come and have a look at the flow patterns in my tank and try to help me decide where to put them. I know that clams are not crazy about alot of flow, which poses some problems in my tank. Just wanna make sure its a good spot before I let them root in. The bi-color angel seems to have taken an interest in the clams. There has been some nipping but as far as I can tell no damage and the clams all seem to have good extension with their mantles. Will have to wait and see with that situation too. There may be either a bi-color angel for sale or some clams in the near future. Hope not, I love them all ![]()
