Fauna Marin GmbH is a company that offers products for a wide array of marine aquarium technology. They offer a range of technical products and also special water chemicals like the balling method and ultra Lith low nutrient system that has taken the marine industry by storm

Their entire line of aquarium products was developed in a dedicated department and is manufactured at their own facility.

Fauna Marin GmbH, was established in 2002 by Claude Schuhmacher, Claude Schuhmacher started his career 1985 and fast became one of germanys first wholesaler for marine ornamental fish and corals. In this 100,000 Liter facility he gets his knowledge about fish and corals. During this time Mr. Schuhmacher developed his first products for marine aquaria. After several years in different aquarists companys he decide to start his own company Fauna Marin. Fauna Marin started 2002 in a small warehouse with it's own laboratory and production for luiquids and foods.
2004 the company moved in a new production and warehouse location in the south of Stuttgart in south west Germany This facility includes production and research laboratories, manufacturing inventory, shipping, and office space. Also a test area with live fish and corals is found here.

Fauna Marin first product was a complex system for feeding azooxanthellate corals in aquaria system Till today this product is still produced very successfully and developed with marine scientists and universities. Fauna Marin is the leader in special foods for marine ornamental animals and azooxanthellate corals. A wide range of products has followed in the last years also one being a very effective filtration System for marine coral aquaria. The Ultralith System is well known and helps to colourful and healty tanks
