I know what you mean about the strainer. You don't have an overflow chamber, just a hole drilled in the back of the tank with a strainer fitting on the inside to keep fish and other things from being sucked in.

Precisely...a PITA. That's why I'm here...hoping someone has some brilliant idea I haven't thought of yet.
