A note on cleaning the fan part of a lg pump.
The housing cover on the LG pumps can be removed. There is one or two bolts that you have to undo on the housing and then you just have to use a hammer to get the cover off, tapping it gently of course  . It's a bit of work, but once it's off, you can get all the gunk out of the black cover and from the fan blade. You have to be a bit ambitious to do this but I do it let's say once a year on my LG pumps and it get's them nice and clean which allows the fan to work properly which inturn keeps the pump coolciao
