Default Question about the son agro ballast

Hi all,
I have a few questions about the son agro ballast. It seems to be quite popular and I am considering switching to those in the near future.

Is the son agro ballast a high pressure sodium ballast? If so, is that a risk at all with MH bulbs?

I would appreciate getting some opinions or feedback from those that are using the son agro with the radiums or ushio 10k bulbs. Are there pros and cons? Any horror stories with bulbs bursting or not firing?

How does the appearance of the light differ with this ballast as opposed to other 400 watt MH ballasts.

I have read some about radiums and the son agro ballast, but please indulge me and let me hear back from some of you with your opinions please. I am considering a change in my lighting in about 3 or 4 months.

I have a 75 gallon reef loaded with corals. I have two 175watt MH 10k's. But over the last couple of years my tank has really shifted to an sps tank with a few LPS. I imagine that 2 - 250 watt MH bulbs would suffice but I think that the 400's is probably still fine and probably a cheaper setup or really close to the 250watt anyways.

I plan on building a new home soon and plan on placing my tank in between two walls so that the tank can be viewed from both sides. I then have the ability to raise or lower the lights as needed.

Bill
