New setup

Hi all, i am currently setting up my first salty tank. Its a 67 gal (i will get into more specifics when i am able to take pics for all of you ) Anyway, i have a remora pro and a mag3. Just wondering what everyone thinks about installing it. Run a clear pvc extension to the bottom of the tank for the mag pump (and lose a little flow), or let it hang off the skimmer and try to hide it behind some eventual rock work>?
