Alright people lets not get out of hand here keep it in the good books can we. the board is to special to be filling it with negative and crappy thoughts.

FOr the record I would not have a valve to throttle back a pump unless it is a pressure and still the only place to throttle a pump back is at the end of the line going out. there is to much pressure at the start of the pump and that is how seals are blown.

If you want to throttle the pump back I think some one already said about a T joint and have a another line run back to the sump or to a Refuguim. That will work too. Having a grill on a over flow pipe is going to cause alot of trouble a ways down the road.

I would have the full flow going to the main tank and you can always up grade the return line to a bigger pipe to get more volume then pressure .

HTH

Or may i misread the post any wyas keep us informed

Doesn't matter how much you have been reading until you take the plunge.
You don't know as much as you think.
