how long without halides??

Background:
I am moving next weekend and to ease the shock of a new system on my livestock I intend to have both setups running for about a week while the levels settle in the new tank. I am using the LR from the existing setup so I don't expect a cycle.
Question:
How long would you let a moderately stocked SPS tank run without halides???

I will leave the 260W of PC actinic on the tank... Plus I am only running the MH for three hours a day right now becouse of the heat

I was planning on 5-6 days ...???
