BTW, X mesh means there are X squared openings per square inch. So, a 100 mesh has 10,000 openings per square inch (each opening is 1/100th by 1/100th of an inch).

and

1 inch = 25.4 mm.

So

1/100th inch = 254 um or 1/4 mm.
