Default My Coral is bleeding!

Just an entertaining story.. Not for the faint of heart. Well I went to go cut the base of my frogspawn in half tonight. I took the cutters and chopped the lower branch in half.. Instantly this odd red stuff began to flow down the stalk and on to the floor! I tried to figure out what was going on for a while but, I didn't get it.. What was this red stuff coming out of the skeleton of my frogspawn!? Just then I looked at my thumb and saw a big slice in it. I must have cut my thumb on one of the shards that broke off. Sure confused the heck out of me though! Beware of those shards.. sharp as you know what!.
