Dwight,
Just how far along is your tank? All I can say is that I wouldn't go back to whoever told you you needed 10 Peppermint shrimp - smells like someone cooking up a sale to me... did they try and sell you a Lionfish to go with?  I just don't know what to say right now except do lots of reading - talk to us fellow Canreefers, and take it slowly... patience in this game isn't a virtue... it's necessary.
