Victor & Steve,

The thread is closed as it contains information that could cause someone harm as was demonstrated by Steve's ballast blowing. You have posted that it was some bad advice that caused this to a small degree. I am hoping that in the future you will both follow one request.

I really find it is too dangerous, not to mention irresponsible, to post these things freely without any kind of warnings for personal saftey.

In the future I'd appreciate it for the newer members of hte board you will post disclaimers with all of these overdriving ballast posts. If someone was to see the diagram in that thread hook it up and have some form of harm come it would fall back on us here. Mention that this should be done with great risk of both a personal nature and property nature and if the person has no prior experience with electricity to not attempt it.

I have seen what electricity can do to a person and to property. We don't want some newbie to misread this all and burn his/her parents house down.
