Beats me, I guess they just do worm stuff I find them all the time on nets and wharf pilings and stuff. They may eat algae, they may eat smaller organisms like copepods and stuff. I have no idea but I was told they were good when I found one in my tank.

Most of these animals are predatory on small bugs (amphipods, ostracodes) or scavengers. Probably harmless in a reef tank. "
