Kier at Kessil got back to me today. The threading for the keyring bolt is M5 x 0.8mm. So 5mm diameter with 0.8mm thread spacing.

i have a few that use a screw instead of built in threads, ill see if i can find a metric screw that size at work tomorrow, pm me your address and i can ship you one (free of charge) if i can find the screw
