Can I turn our back yard into a pond? Please????
The answer was YES!
This project lasted about 3 months over the summer (overall about 7-10 work days). We first started by cutting out all of the existing grass and sprayed out what the outline of the pond would look like. From there we started digging. Overall about 3-4 days of 2-3 people shoveling got the job done. Rock was sourced from a friend of a friend. We hauled about 4 trailers full of huge rock upwards of 500+lbs each. All hand bombed, rolled and rock-slinged. Pond felt was placed in the shaped areas and then the pond liner placed on top. After all of the rock was in place we connected the return pump and filled it. Huge thanks to Dez, Way (Dad) and Mandie for all the help. It was a crazy grind to get completed but the result is exactly what we wanted. |
