Default Life Reef VS3-48 skimmer

Well, I finally had enough and decided to buy this skimmer. Here's the link (not sure if it's ok to post, but I assume a Mod will let me know

I got it a few weeks ago, but only had time to set it up this morning in a vinegar bath solution and I'll let it sit for a while to clean itself. I paired it with a Jabeo DC 6000, but time will tell if I'm happy or not with this pump.
First off, Jeff at Lifereef was awesome to deal with. He personally walked me through how his skimmers were different and why they work just as good as all those other fancy ones that cost 2X the price.
Personally, I've had issues with the skimmers I've had in the past and they just seemed to need far too much maintenance than I had the time for. We'll see if this skimmer departs from my experience thus far.

Packing was awesome, instructions to put together were great. I'll post more in the days to come. But here's where we are so far:
