I would and have my 10 ft tank totally setup with dry rock.1st seeded by skimmer gunk

then it's easily seeded by adding what ever you want and as diverse as you needed by coral frags to colonies to live sand or rock from a trusted source...
not to mention the price difference between dry and wet rock...
