I know you've made your mind up, but ...
If it's bryopsis, why not try some lettuce nudis ? I put 4 in my tank last year and although I lost 2 to MP10 suicides, I still have 2 and have not seen any bryopsis since probably last x-mas I guess there's either some unseen bryopsis, or enough other food for them to live on, and they're still green
