Well, if you decide to tear it down to get the sand out, you may as well upgrade so you can have something to look forward to.... You are not just allowed to ditch this hobby btw.

Maybe new sand and keeping that rock in the dark for a while will help. Get some new rock for some fresh life. It'll come around.
