i put mine on a normal cycle in the washing machine with a 2nd rinse and a splash of bleach on the wash cycle. then i run it through a second with just water to make sure the bleach is gone. i can still smell bleach a bit after the first wash so i put them through a second time.
Could there be a chance of phosphates getting into the fabric from residual soap?
