I wanted to try and make my own over flows, at the present time they are working really well. Power outage test completed and all is good.

I decided to try the closed loop thing, the lines on the right are 1 suction line going down to the pump and the discharge teeing off to 2 lines, 1 of those lines is teeing again to loc-line in the tank.
The sump pump does the same thing on the other side. Both pumps together provide 3500-4000 GPH of flow. We will see how this does, might have to add power heads later.
Found a local glass shop to come out and drill the main tank, it went really smooth. He had the best equipment which helped ease my stress. I don't think I would attempt it myself, it was worth the money.
Eventually I will turn the far left compartment into a refug. The return is in the middle. I will slip a little flow off the discharge of the pump to supply water to the refug. I don't need much water going to it, just a nice gentle flow controlled with a ball valve.
I get the tank in the wall and my wife chooses what goes on the wall
It is nice to have the space in the back to work on things. Hopefully maint. will be easy. I have a floor drain in the area which is handy.
