Take one away and the ballast doesn't light the other properly and is hard on them. Would just hate to see people put 1 of these in, and ruin an otherwise good ballast trying to drive the other T5

I don't think these guys are supposed to be mounted into a "hot" T5 outlet in a canopy. from what I understand they just used T5 end caps for ease of mounting and also to look more uniform since the tube is the same size as a T5 bulb.

I would not suggest mounting these in place of a standard T5.
