Setting up frag tank

Thinking about setting up a frag tank. Can covert my 20g fuge and just put the macro in the 75g sump, or have a stand alone 20 or 33g.

Advantage in converting my fuge is just one system to maintain, but wondering for a separate frag tank, what involved, eg how often for water changes, dosing etc?
