Black slime and substrate

I had this problem a while ago. Its from excess nutrients. The way I got rid of it was I had to vaccum the gravel or sand a couple of times. Along with aggresive skimming. You dont realy want to vaccum the bottom because of all the good bugs in there, but trust me IT WORKS!!!
